Harassment Free Workplace

Workshop Description

June 13 | 6PM-10PM & June 16 | 9AM-5PM

The work place is an increasingly difficult arena to navigate when conducting business. The higher your position, the more people you are responsible for ensuring they have a work place free of harassment. As more employees work off site and increasing numbers of contractors and clients come to your place of business, complexities of working together multiply. Public employers face this situation in an environment where more and more employees file complaints of harassment and discrimination. This workshop will touch upon the federal anti-discrimination employment laws; discuss the leading U.S. Supreme Court decision on harassment and hostile work environments; and dissect a harassment fact pattern from both the plaintiff and defendant perspectives.
